Job Summary

This role requires a skilled Specialist Pharmacist to lead the Infectious Diseases team at Launceston General Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with medical, pharmacy, and nursing staff.

The role involves playing a pivotal part in the governance and daily operations of the Antimicrobial Stewardship program, contributing to safe and effective antimicrobial use across the organisation. This includes supporting the development and review of clinical guidelines, driving quality improvement initiatives, and enhancing education for healthcare professionals and consumers.

About the Role
  • Undertake Clinical Pharmacy activities associated with the Infectious Diseases service:
  • Act as a pharmacy lead in the review and implementation of improvements to working practices and systems within the Agency in relation to antimicrobial stewardship in accordance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS)
  • Act as a senior member of the pharmacy department
  • Support the Clinical Pharmacy team
  • Support the Statewide Hospital Pharmacy Operations Unit
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training.
What We Offer

This is a permanent part-time position working 30.4 hours per fortnight. The salary range is $110,425 to $121,907 per annum pro rata. You will also receive a 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
