Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Rheumatology and excellent leadership skills. As a Consultant Rheumatologist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Rheumatology in a progressive teaching hospital.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead specialist Rheumatology clinics and coordinate patient care to ensure seamless continuity of service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and multidisciplinary collaboration to support clinical governance and service development initiatives.
  • Mentor and supervise postgraduate trainees, and contribute to medical student teaching through academic partnerships.
  • Contribute to departmental research and innovation projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent recognised overseas specialist qualification.
  • Eligibility for Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical service delivery, leadership, and education within Rheumatology.
