About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Compliance Engineer to join our team at Beacon Lighting. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will be responsible for ensuring all our products meet Australian regulatory and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure our products meet Australian regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with international and local testing laboratories to organize and oversee third-party testing
  • Prepare and submit new product approval certification and registration submissions, and renew existing certifications and registrations
  • Review new products for creation of product labels and safe use instructions as required by standards
  • Conduct in-house testing and coordinate third-party testing to ensure performance and safety requirements are met
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of in-house electrical safety testing systems

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A strong background in electrical product testing, coupled with qualifications in electrical engineering
  • Previous experience working with electrical household and lighting equipment for product labelling and instruction manual for safe use
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to manage your time effectively and ensure deadlines are always adhered to
  • Proven problem-solving skills, investigating issues and resolving them appropriately
  • Analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret reports
  • A high level of competency in all Microsoft Office packages
