Claims Professional

The role of a Claims Professional is multifaceted, encompassing the provision of exceptional support to the Insurance Manager and corporate group, ensuring a professional and valuable service in handling claims. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all classes of general insurance claims with a broad and technical approach, efficiently analysing initial causation to provide effective claims responses.
  • Collaborate with external claim managers to assist the entire claim journey, streamlining processes and improving outcomes.
  • Prepare reports clearly and articulately, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Implement efficient follow-up systems with all stakeholders, fostering open communication and timely resolution.
  • Regularly communicate with insured parties, addressing their concerns and needs promptly and professionally.
  • Follow up on correspondence between insured, underwriters, assessors, and others, ensuring seamless coordination and minimal delays.
  • Maintain accurate Claims Status Reports and systems, providing real-time visibility into claim progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in ISR claims or Casualty claims is essential, demonstrating a deep understanding of the Insurance Claims environment and regulatory changes.
  • A strong attention to detail, commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success.
  • Excellent verbal and written articulation across all communication streams, combined with a professional, friendly, and courteous manner, will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues and industry professionals.
  • Ability to work as part of a national team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
