Insurance Claims Officer – Local Council
Eastern Melbourne | $43–48 p/hour + super | 38 hours p/week | 6–8 week contract
About The Opportunity
We are looking for an experiencedInsurance Claims Officerto join our client, a Local Council in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
This short-term role offers the chance to work in a collaborative team while contributing to important community services.
In this role, you will coordinate and administer insurance and liability claims, advocate for the settlement of under excess claims, support the insurance renewal program, assist with Business Continuity Management, and contribute to the implementation of the Council's Risk Management Framework and Action Plan.
Key Responsibilities
Manage insurance and liability claims.
Advocate for settlement of under excess claims.
Support insurance renewals.
Assist with Business Continuity Management.
Contribute to risk management initiatives.
About you
Experience in high-volume insurance claims management, ideally in local government.
ANZIIF qualifications (highly desirable).
Strong administrative skills and systems experience.
Knowledge of risk management practices.
