Life Insurance Claims Specialist

This is a key role within our business, responsible for managing life insurance claims from initiation to closure.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless communication and timely outcomes for policyholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of Retail Income Protection insurance claims end-to-end.
  • Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
  • Engage with external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants and in-house medical and legal specialists to deliver timely outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their claims.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex claims issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in life insurance claims management, preferably within Group policy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and understanding for customers during challenging times.
  • A solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment options.
