Job Role

As a leader in our organisation, you will oversee the Environmental Compliance Branch, which is responsible for ensuring compliance with national environmental law. The team works closely with various stakeholders, including business, industry, government and the community to promote and improve compliance.

Triage and Operations Coordination Section Overview

The Triage and Operations Coordination section acts as the first point of entry for receiving all compliance allegations. They assess each allegation to determine the most appropriate course of action, including referral to other sections for compliance and enforcement response.

Environment Intelligence Section Key Objectives

The Environment Intelligence section undertakes proactive intelligence activities to discover, understand and respond to current and emerging matters of organised environmental crime and serious non-compliance.

International Wildlife Trade Compliance Responsibilities

The International Wildlife Trade Compliance section is responsible for collecting and processing wildlife seizures under environmental laws, and providing reporting under international agreements such as CITES.
