Environmental Management is a critical aspect of Defence operations, and as an Environment Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant maritime environmental legislative frameworks.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and set work priorities. You will also be accountable for managing workflows, building team capability through coaching and feedback, and exercising associated people and financial responsibilities.

Liaising with stakeholders is a crucial part of this role. You will engage with stakeholders to identify, anticipate, and respond to their needs and expectations, contributing towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

The Directorate of Navy Safety and Environment works across various specialisations, including work health and safety, occupational hygiene, environment protection, and compliance and risk management systems.

We are seeking someone who can deliver environmental management activities in accordance with Defence and Navy environmental policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
