Key Responsibilities:

You will take charge of assessing risks associated with banks and other financial institutions, as well as fund clients across various Macquarie divisions, including trading product lines ranging from securities to derivatives and liquidity management. Your role will involve managing a global portfolio of counterparties, evaluating and mitigating counterparty risk, and analyzing market trends and news that may influence the credit standing of these entities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough analyses to determine credit risk for establishing credit limits and ratings.
  • Reviewing and evaluating trading counterparties and transactions to ensure they align with expected return thresholds and risk appetite.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a similar capacity within banking, financial services, or professional services, particularly in financial markets.
  • A strong understanding of risk assessment and the ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of trading documentation, derivative products, and capital markets is highly valued.
  • Proficient stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build robust relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

About Our Risk Management Group:

Within our Risk Management Group, you will engage in an independent and centralized function responsible for objective review, oversight, monitoring, and reporting on Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions encompass Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
