Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage the Credit Risk Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of credit risk specialists, providing guidance and direction to ensure the team delivers on APRA's credit risk needs.
  • Strategic Direction and Business Planning: You will set the strategic direction and business plan for the Credit Risk team, aligning with APRA's Corporate Plan and ensuring the team's objectives are met.
  • Monitoring and Assessing Credit Risk: You will monitor and assess the credit risk environment across the Australian financial system, identifying prudential vulnerabilities and recommending an APRA response.
  • Providing Specialist Advice: You will provide specialist technical advice on credit risk-related matters, ensuring the team maintains a deep level of expertise in retail, non-retail credit risk, and current and emerging issues in credit risk management.
  • Overseeing Credit Risk System-Wide Insights: You will oversee the development of credit risk system-wide and relevant entity insights, providing a comprehensive understanding of the credit risk landscape.
  • Contributing to APRA's Prudential Policy: You will contribute to APRA's prudential policy, data collections, and reporting in relation to credit risk, ensuring the team's expertise is applied to inform policy decisions.
About You
  • Deep Knowledge and Experience: You will have deep knowledge and experience in the field of credit risk, with a strong understanding of the Australian financial system.
  • Strategic Leadership: You will possess solid strategic leadership capabilities, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate, and influence at senior levels.
  • Expertise in Credit Risk Management: You will have demonstrated expertise in credit risk management, with the ability to identify strategic credit risk issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Professional Qualifications: You will hold professional qualifications in a relevant field or have equivalent experience.
