Psychiatry Specialist Opportunity

Provide high-quality psychiatry services to consumers of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. This role requires clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team.
The position may also be required to provide services to Gladstone, Biloela, Blackwater, Emerald and Moura Hospitals; Woorabinda Health Service and Outreach Clinic; Gemfields Outreach Clinic; Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service and Outreach Clinic, and the associated Mental Health clinics.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate effective mental health care across the continuum of Forensic Mental Health across, Prison, Court, Watch House inpatient and community settings and within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) program with the appropriate bodies.
This role requires a candidate with a solid background in psychiatric practice.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) is generally required.
Benefits:Total remuneration value of up to $528,432 p.a. comprised of salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. and 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
