Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service delivers specialist mental health, substance abuse, and alcohol care to residents in Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda, and Central Highlands regions.
This role involves delivering high-quality psychiatric services to consumers of the service, providing clinical leadership for the Mental Health team, and implementing effective treatment strategies across the forensic continuum.
- Responsibilities include: providing expertise in psychiatry, promoting patient-centred care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mental health outcomes.
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, Specialist registration or eligibility in Psychiatry with AHPRA.
- Registration or eligibility with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in managing complex mental health cases, advanced knowledge of psychiatric practice, and continuous professional development through CME programs.
