Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Psychiatrist

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Psychiatrist in Psychiatry to provide high-quality services to consumers of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, as well as clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team.
The successful candidate will be required to provide services to various hospitals, health services and clinics across Central Queensland.
To be successful in this role, you will require a solid background in psychiatric practice, with extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient and community settings and within a multidisciplinary environment.
- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold the Certificate in Psychiatry of Old Age or have an interest in Psychiatry of Old Age.
- Eligibility for accreditation as a RANZCP-approved supervisor.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
