Role Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt and management of inbound freight across Australia and New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be accountable for coordinating with logistics service providers to ensure timely submission of freight invoices, managing a team of direct reports, and working closely with finance to ensure accurate logistics expense allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of inbound freight into ANZ, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple business divisions
  • Collaborate with logistics service providers to optimize freight invoice submissions and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports in inbound and outbound freight, providing guidance on process improvements and best practices
  • Work closely with finance to ensure accurate logistics expense allocation and accruals are provided to various business units and functions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing logistics operations, preferably in a supply chain setting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Knowledge of general logistics terminology and procedures, with a focus on freight operations
