Job Title: Aboriginal Health Project Officer
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a role that improves access, outcomes, and equity in Aboriginal health. You will be part of a team working collaboratively with senior leaders, Aboriginal community members, health staff, and service partners.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, including diary and meeting management, documentation, and experience with Microsoft Office and TRIM. They will also be able to effectively support and deliver projects on time, using sound project management practices.
ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination: Assist with planning, delivering, and evaluating health projects using culturally safe and community-focused approaches.
Administrative Support: Manage diaries, meetings, correspondence, records, and reporting with accuracy and efficiency.
Cultural Awareness: Ensure all work reflects and respects Aboriginal cultures, values, and lived experiences.
Community Engagement: Foster strong, respectful relationships with teams, communities, and partners to support shared outcomes.
Problem Solving: Prioritise effectively, solve problems proactively, and handle sensitive matters with care and cultural awareness.
You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, recognised through heritage and community connection, meeting the genuine occupational qualification requirements.
Strong organisational skills, including diary and meeting management, documentation, and experience with Microsoft Office and TRIM.
Ability to effectively support and deliver projects on time, using sound project management practices.
Experience in data collection and reporting, providing clear and accurate information for decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and in teams.
