The Director of Nursing role is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the clinical direction and operational management of perioperative services across day procedure centres.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead daily operations of perioperative services in Newstead and Sunnybank Day Procedure Centres.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff, oversee onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with national standards and regulatory frameworks to guarantee patient safety and quality of care.
- Oversee clinical risk management, incident reporting, and accreditation readiness to minimize risks and optimize service delivery.
- Promote a culture of safety, empathy, and excellence in care by fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.
- Bachelor of Nursing or higher qualification, current registration with AHPRA, and legal capacity to work in Australia.
- Minimum five years' perioperative nursing experience, including qualifications and experience in anaesthetic nursing, with a proven track record of leadership and expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain high standards of documentation and provide effective feedback to stakeholders.
