We are seeking an experienced Energy Transition and Decarbonisation expert to join our team at Baringa Partners. As a key member of our Australian Energy and Resources practice, you will play a critical role in shaping the energy transition in Australia and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead consulting engagements to deliver high-impact results in the energy sector, working at the forefront of the energy transition.
- Develop and implement decarbonisation strategies for large corporate consumers, including renewable energy contracting, carbon offsetting, and new technology appraisal.
- Work with clients to quantify the value of behind-the-meter generation and define products and business models to realise this value.
- Collaborate with market participants and regulators to shape the energy market and drive decarbonisation.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for energy transition and decarbonisation, including investment portfolio strategy and offtake options for large-scale renewable and storage projects.
- At least 8 years of experience in the energy market, carbon markets, or green fuels industry, ideally gained within Australia.
- Commercial advisory experience gained either in industry or as a consultant to the energy industry.
- Strong passion for solving critical problems and leading teams to deliver high-impact results.
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and providing advice grounded in facts.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build a team in a rapidly growing environment.
