Senior Content Manager Job Description

About the Position:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Content Manager to oversee our monthly magazine, focusing on RV travel and lifestyle content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging stories, editing articles, and managing freelance contributors.

The Challenge:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team in shaping both print and digital content. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that drive engagement and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor freelance writers, editors, and designers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Source and edit compelling articles, images, and videos to meet the needs of our diverse audience.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to align content direction with our overall brand vision.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless content integration across all channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform content strategy and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior editor or content management role.
  • Proven track record of creating engaging, informative content that drives results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with ability to guide and develop a team of freelance contributors.
