Cocoon SDA Care is a leading provider of support staff to NDIS-registered providers in Darwin, NT.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of disability support workers and manage day-to-day operations of accommodation.
  • Oversee budget management and expenditure for accommodations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks at accommodations as needed.
  • Liaise with allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Effectively manage rosters and staff issues to maintain high-quality services.
  • Maintain participants' and staff's health and wellbeing.
  • Organize recreational activities for participants to promote engagement.
  • Encourage team and participants to meet their goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Coordinate team meetings, submit progress reports, and manage rosters.
  • Coordinate meals, appointments, and activities for participants.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Manual handling and personal care skills.
  • Cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
  • Experience as a support worker or leader.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Medication administration training.
  • Compliance knowledge an advantage.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent).
  • First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training.
  • Current Driver's License.
