Disability Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Darwin, providing exceptional support to individuals with disabilities.

This role involves working collaboratively with clients, medical professionals, and insurance providers to deliver tailored rehabilitation programs that empower individuals to regain independence and achieve their goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
  • Liaise with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services
  • Develop and implement adaptive strategies to enhance daily living skills and promote community participation

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy, with the ability to obtain AHPRA registration as an OT upon graduation
  • A willingness to travel and work in various locations, including remote areas
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Determination to consistently provide high-quality customer service and support
