Job Opportunity

Mission Australia is seeking an AOD Worker to join our team in Adelaide. As an AOD Worker, you will be responsible for providing intensive ongoing person-centered case management, working with families and the local community, and facilitating AOD education and information sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered case management services to clients experiencing alcohol and other drug-related issues.
  • Work with families, the local community, and service providers to support clients.
  • Facilitate AOD education, information sessions, and service presentations within the local community.
  • Provide evidence-informed case management sessions to clients.
  • Assist clients while at the service through brief therapeutic intervention and referral to suitable services.

Requirements for Success:

  • Relevant degree with at least 1 year's experience or Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specialised or complex therapeutic interventions and manage a caseload of complex clients.
  • Demonstrated professional approach to the role, including maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Understanding of factors that support recovery and ability to use this to positively support others on their recovery journey.
