Job Title: Addiction Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Addiction Recovery Specialist.


About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity to work with individuals who are struggling with alcohol and other drug use. As an Addiction Recovery Specialist, you will provide intensive support and guidance to help individuals achieve their recovery goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based counselling interventions to address addiction-related issues.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals to build resilience, coping skills, and self-awareness.
  • Provide education and support to promote healthy lifestyle choices and reduce harm associated with substance use.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure effective service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV or higher in Alcohol and Other Drugs or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in counselling using a range of intervention techniques.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches for supporting individuals with substance abuse issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and written skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Capacity to build networks, work independently and in teams, and apply initiative with strong problem-solving skills.
