Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Leader

This is a critical leadership position that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of personnel, contractors, and the environment on our drilling sites.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and promote a culture of excellence in health, safety, and environmental management across our operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site safety for RC and grade control drilling programs to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and accredited training programs to ensure all personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate closely with drill crews and site management to maintain high standards of HSE performance

Requirements:

  • Certification IV in Work Health & Safety (mandatory)
  • Certification IV in Training & Assessment (mandatory)
  • Prior experience in Australian mining, drilling, or heavy industry (RC or GC drilling highly regarded)
  • In-depth knowledge of WA Mines Safety legislation and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to obtain a National Police Clearance within 3 months of employment
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency status
  • Currently reside in Australia
  • Hold a current Unrestricted Manual C-Class Licence
