Job Description

As a HSE Advisor, you will provide critical health, safety, and environmental expertise to our onsite team in Perth, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide site-based HSE advice and support to the Project Management team
  • Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders
  • Positively influence HSE outcomes across all levels of project management

Accountabilities:

- Advise project staff on health, safety, and environmental matters
- Implement WHS related project management plans
- Prequalify subcontractors and their equipment
- Deliver project inductions and facilitate the induction process
- Conduct workplace and plant inspections,
- Audit subcontractors and systems
- Facilitate audits by third parties
- Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings
- Disseminate health and safety information
- Manage and update permit to work systems
- Manage HSE training needs
- Contribute to project and trade risk workshops
- Undertake incident investigations and write reports
- Produce and populate monthly HSE reports and manage associated data

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar HSE position is essential. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of applicable legislation, codes of practice, Australian standards, and relevant documentation. A minimum Cert IV OHS/WHS qualification is required, along with incident investigation and first aid training.

Desirable skills include:

  • Diploma OHS/WHS, CERT IV in Training and Assessing
  • Cert IV in Environmental Management
  • Trade background
  • High risk workers licence, work at heights, confined space
