Key Responsibilities for Behavioural Therapy Assistant

The Behavioural Therapy Assistant will provide 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings, including home/clinic/school.

They will support clients in developing their skills in communication, social interactions and emotional regulation. Client data will be collected to track progress and identify areas of improvement.

A positive environment that encourages client participation will be fostered.

Required Skills & Experience
  • A Degree/Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential is required.
Employment Requirements
  • A Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) is mandatory.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You' must be completed.
  • An Australian Driver's License & Vehicle are necessary for the role.
  • A laptop/iPad will be used on shift, so personal device ownership is a requirement.
