We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our college services team. As the Head of College Services, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality operations across the college.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual who thrives on shaping processes and driving initiatives that enhance the student experience. You will work closely with the college director to develop and implement strategies that promote student retention, transition, and graduation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop administration staff, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Oversee student services functions, including orientation, enrolment, counselling support, and appeals and complaints management.
- Champion student retention and transition initiatives, ensuring smooth pathways from college to university.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to manage timetabling, subject selection, attendance monitoring, and articulation processes.
- Maintain compliance and regulatory standards, contributing to policy development and accurate reporting.
- Strengthen student engagement through events, social media, and communication with sponsorship bodies.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service, using feedback and data to enhance the student and staff experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in management and team leadership.
- 1-2 years experience in a student services role working with international students.
- Strong understanding of education sector legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
- Skilled in policy interpretation, innovation, and leading change.
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with student management systems.
