Role Overview:

In this essential position, you will oversee the daily functions of our gym, ensuring efficient operations and supporting our team of fitness experts. The Assistant Manager will be tasked with staff management, problem resolution, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in team leadership within the health and fitness sector (3-5 years);
  • Driven to enhance operational performance, achieving key performance indicators and monthly sales objectives;
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
  • A strong passion for fitness;
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities;
  • A solid background in administrative and operational management;
  • Proficient in relevant software and systems;
  • Certification III in Fitness and a current First Aid qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive atmosphere where staff enjoy working and members are encouraged to challenge themselves.
  • Act as a representative to ensure our facility delivers outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Assist in attracting new members and retaining existing ones by providing a top-notch member experience through superior service and standards.
  • Recruit, train, guide, motivate, and support the fitness team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Analyze reports and provide club statistical insights.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote membership growth.
  • Create and execute marketing initiatives within the club and the local community.
  • Cultivate a welcoming, supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable culture within the gym.
  • Serve as the Food Safety Supervisor for our café (training will be provided).
