Risk Executive, Regional and Agribusiness Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Executive to join our Regional and Agribusiness team at the Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our Risk Management team, you will be responsible for providing expert risk advice and guidance to our business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit risk assessments for agribusiness and commercial clients, exercising sound commercial judgment and adhering to our risk appetite.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret and apply our risk policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
- Operational Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with credit decisions and transactions.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to Risk teams and Business Managers on risk management best practices.
- Strategic Risk Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic risk initiatives to enhance our risk management capabilities.
- Experience: Proven experience in a credit risk position, including exercising a personal delegation in a major financial institution.
- Industry Knowledge: High-level diversified industry knowledge and experience in agribusiness and commercial risk management.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Nurtured and maintained key internal stakeholder relationships and client relationship management experience.
- Teamwork: Experience in contributing to high-performing teams and ability to contribute to a positive team culture.
- Communication Skills: Sound influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to think outside the box and adapt quickly to new situations.
- Credentials: Graduate or postgraduate degrees in business or finance, or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., Finsia, PRMIA or GARP).
