Food Product Development Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Food Research Engineer/Food Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food manufacture, processing, and/or development and be able to provide specialist technical expertise in support of high-quality research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new food products and processes that enhance nutritional properties and sustainability credentials while maintaining consumer acceptability.
  • Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to deliver outcomes that accelerate the introduction of new product/ingredient/processing opportunities for Australian industry and consumers.
  • Assist in the development and management of research, development, and innovation projects and technologies, including the maintenance of high standards of research housekeeping, waste disposal, and sample storage.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a relevant degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing/food production environment or relevant research and development experience.
  • Advanced technical capabilities in food processing, development, and/or extrusion processing, as well as knowledge of nutrition science and regulatory frameworks.
