
Behaviour Support Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our clinical services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with disabilities and therapeutic needs, providing behaviour support services that promote safety and empowerment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating behaviour support services, working collaboratively with families, children, young people and adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver behaviour support services that meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and therapeutic needs.
- Collaborate with families, children, young people and adults to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support services, making adjustments as needed.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for individuals.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or other relevant field.
- Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with relevant state body.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise data collection tools, collate information and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Therapeutic behavioural support strategies within trauma-informed framework.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including participants, families and government agencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of positive behaviour support principles, including functional behaviour assessment and intervention practices.
- Experience working within quality improvement and risk management frameworks.
