**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate primary prevention initiatives and provide early support for children and families affected by problematic or harmful sexual behaviors. The successful candidate will adopt a strength-based, family-focused and culturally centered trauma-informed approach to working with children and families.

The role involves coordinating pathways into specialist counselling services for children and families who need them. Additionally, the position holder will hold a small clinical case load and coordinate cultural consultation to support non-Aboriginal clinicians working with Aboriginal children and families.

This is an identified position Australian Aboriginals only, and the applicant must be able to provide evidence to confirm and corroborate their Aboriginality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate primary prevention initiatives and provide early support for children and families affected by problematic or harmful sexual behaviors
  • Adopt a strength-based, family-focused and culturally centered trauma-informed approach to working with children and families
  • Coordinate pathways into specialist counselling services for children and families who need them

Requirements:

  • Australian Aboriginal descent
  • Ability to provide evidence to confirm and corroborate Aboriginality
