**About the Role**
We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Clinical Services team in Wagga Wagga on a permanent part time basis 3 days per week.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will operate as a key constituent of a multidisciplinary clinical services team and be responsible for the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of behaviour support services to families, children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and therapeutic needs.
**_ _**The successful applicant will have**:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, nursing or other relevant clinical field.
- Current registration with AHPRA where required or eligibility for registration with the relevant state body.
- Eligible to provide Specialist Intervention Behaviour Support and a range of appropriate services under the NDIS.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise data collection tools, collate information, analyse and prepare reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Therapeutic behavioural support strategies within the scope of our trauma informed framework.
- Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders including participants, families, Local Area Coordinators, NDIS, the Office of the Public Guardian, and other government agencies and specialist support services.
- Demonstrate knowledge of positive behaviour support principles including functional behaviour assessment, intervention and service delivery practices, and Restrictive Practice Authorisation processes.
- Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person centred approaches.
- Experience working within clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management frameworks.
