Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the financial performance of the hotel and F&B venue, working closely with the hotel leadership team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly accountable for all financial information provided to the General Manager, Accor, and Owners, ensuring accuracy, detail, and timely submission.
  • Oversee the preparation and completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, guaranteeing accuracy and punctuality.
  • Ensure effective management of Management Agreement and Owners Corporation matters, with a focus on timeliness, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with department heads/managers to develop strategies enhancing departmental profitability, providing statistical data and supporting finance-related matters.
  • Supply departments with accurate and timely statistical information.
  • Cooperate with other departments to provide finance-related support as needed.
  • Develop and monitor financial systems to improve and streamline procedures.
  • Implement policies and procedures set by Accor, ensuring internal controls operate effectively.
  • Provide thorough training and knowledge of hotel systems, including Opera, Micros, Sun, Purchase Plus, Adobe sign, Currency Select, Online Banking portals, and others necessary for financial and compliance performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment instruments, HMA, and compliance documentation.
  • Offer strategic oversight into the business, playing an active role in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Understanding of state and federal legislation regarding tax, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent accounting software user, with desirable previous use of HumanForce, WageEASY, PurchasePlus, and Sun.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of financial accounting principles and procedures, including statutory responsibilities.
Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annumAdditional Information:
