About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Manager to join our Pricing & Practice Economics Team (PPE) at Allens Operations Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the firm's commercial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of pricing infrastructure for the firm, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support bid teams with pricing and negotiation strategy for panels and tenders, leveraging your expertise to drive commercial success.
  • Review commercial terms and manage client pricing arrangements, collaborating with clients' procurement and legal operations teams as needed.
  • Assist partners and lawyers in responding to requests for estimates or proposals, including designing and implementing alternative fee arrangements.
  • Utilize pricing tools and financial models to assess profitability and inform pricing decisions, providing strategic insights to partners.
  • Support the Innovation & Digital Solutions team in pricing legal technology services and products, driving efficiency improvements and positive outcomes for clients and the firm.
  • Assist in the management, training, and development of Pricing Managers and Pricing Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
About You

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a background in law firm pricing or pricing in another professional services environment. Your strong stakeholder management skills, ability to build relationships, and influence outcomes will be essential in this role.

  • Experience in bid and tender processes, as well as dealing with procurement and/or legal operations.
  • Proven ability to manage others or a team, with a genuine desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.
  • Proficient Excel skills, with the ability to analyze raw data and draw out insights.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity, and uncertainty.
