Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Team Leader to lead our team of residential support workers and manage our various accommodations across Melbourne. This full-time, hybrid role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a direct impact on the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall leadership and management of our SIL and Respite houses.
  • Responsible for the rostering of all direct support staff within your houses, including monitoring of absenteeism and recommendations for escalation.
  • Complete all paperwork, including medication re-orders, transportation, visitor logs, and other administrative tasks.
  • Understanding client needs to match appropriate skilled staff to clients, delivering services in line with their care plan.
  • Supervision of support workers on a regular basis, maintaining and building relationships with existing Participants and key referrers.
  • Supporting Participants, their families, and carers to understand and access our services and policies.
  • Nurturing a network of connections across the disability and community care sector.
  • Develop and Maintain Operational Administrative Systems, Procedures, and Processes to Support Effective Management of all areas of Service Delivery.
  • Reporting incidents immediately in line with the NDIS Incident reporting.
  • Management of accommodation budget and expenditure.

Selection Criteria

  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Disability or Community services sector.
  • Certificate III or above in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Passionate to work alongside clients with disability and a customer service-focused approach.
  • Experience working with rostering systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to the SIL houses and Respite Facility across Melbourne.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
