Job Overview

The Area Manager plays a critical role in supporting rural fire brigades and volunteers by connecting local needs with regional and state resources. This includes enhancing training, mitigation, asset management, and brigade operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the area team in executing regional strategic and operational plans to deliver services to brigades and volunteers.
  • Manage organisational change programs through regular consultation with staff, volunteers, the community, and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake the role of Chief Fire Warden for the area and work closely with the Manager Bushfire Mitigation.
  • Work closely with the Regional Duty Manager to maintain operational awareness and oversight.
  • Manage human and physical resources to ensure operational capacity and capability within the area.
