Job Title: Controls Analyst

Zip is seeking a highly skilled Controls Analyst to join our team. As a Controls Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and documenting key control indicators for ongoing monitoring of control performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the identification and documentation of key control indicators for ongoing monitoring of control performance
  • Work closely with Business Process Analyst, Enterprise Risk, Compliance and other Business Functional leaders
  • Document key controls in an agreed format for upload into Zip's GRC solution
  • Guide business unit representatives to identify what is a control, what is the control objective and control type, frequency, owner, testing frequency etc
  • Link the identified key controls to risks and obligations, guiding the assessment of these controls (design and operating effectiveness) to assess residual risk and identify any controls gaps
  • Identify and assess the criticality of identified control gaps and recommend prioritization and action plans for remediation
  • Identify and document key control indicators for ongoing monitoring of control performance
  • Collate common controls into a single repository
  • Project manage controls work to completion in accordance with agreed timelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a risk, control and/or compliance analyst
  • Tertiary or industry qualifications in a related discipline e.g. risk or compliance management, internal audit, or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in control design and assessment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
  • Results-oriented
  • Project management experience (desirable)
