Operations Leading Hand

Elevate your career to a higher level and take charge of our airside team. As an experienced Commercial Driver with exceptional leadership capabilities, you will lead the way in ensuring seamless delivery of service to all customers.

This exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Operations Leading Hand to join our Customer Delivery team in Darwin. The position involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring productivity and performance criteria are met, and assisting supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate team members in the Customer Delivery department
  • Ensure productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility
  • Assist supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area
  • Lead by example and perform all duties of a Driver
  • Supervise, train, and induct workers within a designated work area
  • Organize and coordinate work within the designated work area
  • Perform administrative and reporting duties as required

About You:

  • Demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment
  • Display leadership by example and hands-on approach
  • Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold a valid ASIC card and Australian state/territory MR or greater driver's license
  • Forklift license preferred but not essential
  • First Aid Certificate and WHS qualifications preferred
  • Show flexibility in working around flight schedules (7-day per week operation)
  • Maintain a clean Police Record as part of mandatory checks
