Lead Midwifery Unit Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced Lead Midwifery Unit Manager to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The successful candidate will have strong clinical management and leadership experience, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Role
  • Oversee the operational management and leadership of midwifery/nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centred care and midwifery excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication among team members, promoting a positive work environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical management & leadership experience in tertiary/district healthcare facility, preferably in a similar role.
  • Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
Requirements
  • Experience in rostering, managing skill mix & care delivery models, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills & experience in performance management, able to identify areas for improvement.
  • Advanced communication & negotiation skills & experience in conflict resolution, promoting effective collaboration.

This is a temporary full-time position up to September 2026, offering opportunities for professional growth and development.
