
Cultural Transformation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a framework for significant organisational and individual change in Queensland's Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services and Multicultural Affairs.
The department aims to reframe its relationship with First Nations peoples, including developing strong culturally responsive leadership, addressing systemic bias, and building a strong Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander workforce.
As part of a Reframing the Relationship project team, you will guide the department in its journey to implement a roadmap for cultural transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a framework to reframe the department's relationship with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders;
- Building a strong Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander workforce and a culturally capable non-Indigenous workforce;
- Privileging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service provision;
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate their understanding of and commitment to the cultural capabilities required for this role.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. They should also be able to analyze complex information, identify solutions, and develop effective strategies to drive organisational change.
