As the Director of the Parramatta Artists' Studios, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic and operational delivery of the studios, overseeing the existing facilities in Rydalmere and the new studio in Granville.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the new and existing studio facilities, including onboarding new resident artists and managing the artist residency program.
- Collaborate with the State Government to develop a long-term, permanent studio facility within the Parramatta region.
- Lead the development of the Parramatta Artists' Studios' First Nations Studio at the Granville facility.
- Contribute to the City Culture Leadership Team, supporting the development of the COP Cultural Strategy and the delivery of a new Cultural Project Portfolio.
- Manage the Parramatta Artists' Studios' public programs, exhibition partnerships, and artwork commissions.
- Work closely with other Council teams to enhance the cultural life of the city.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Arts, or Cultural Development, or a relevant qualification combined with significant professional experience.
- Proven experience in budget preparation, financial control, and resource management.
- Experience in data analysis and strategic planning, with the ability to interpret and integrate information into the City Culture strategy.
- Knowledge of the arts, cultural, or entertainment industry sectors.
The City of Parramatta offers an attractive remuneration package, including a salary range of $149,428 to $165,645, plus 11.5% superannuation. Additionally, the city provides excellent employee benefits, including flexible work arrangements, paid parental leave, and access to learning and development opportunities.
