Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Transformation Director at WaterNSW, you will lead the HR transformation program, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, financial objectives, and business goals. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including HR, IT, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment and support for the transformation program.

You will oversee and lead the implementation of the HR system, ensuring its seamless integration with existing corporate systems. You will lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new HR systems and processes, including training and communication strategies.

You will ensure program and project benefits are clearly identified, defined, and that appropriate mechanisms are established to track benefit realisation. You will oversee the phased decommissioning of legacy HR systems, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.

You will manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, ensuring delivery of high-quality services and products within agreed timelines and budgets. You will establish robust governance structures, providing regular updates on program progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership and steering committees.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in business and tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in program/project management
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale HR transformation programs
  • Information Technology/Digital Program Management Experience implementing HCM (such as SAP Success Factors, Workday or similar)
  • Excellent program management skills, including risk management, change management, and vendor management.
  • Understanding of Portfolio, program and project management processes and methodologies
  • Demonstrated capability in large business strategy project delivery with extensive end to end experience in project planning and implementation.
  • In depth understanding of risk management and its role in managing project fundamentals such as time, cost, quality and safety.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering successful stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level in negotiation and influencing outcomes.
