We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team at Churches of Christ, Little Mountain Residential Aged Care. About the Role

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance and safety of our grounds and outdoor facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas, as well as inspecting and maintaining outdoor facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the appearance and safety of our grounds and outdoor facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas, including mowing, pruning, watering, and planting.
  • Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Assist with landscaping projects and seasonal tasks such as leaf clearing.
  • Monitor and manage waste disposal and recycling around the grounds.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping, and basic horticultural practices.
  • Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and machinery.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
