Job Title: Capital Projects Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Capital Projects Engineer to lead and support the delivery of major capital projects across multiple high-performing manufacturing facilities in VIC, NSW, SA and TAS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery - ensuring safety, compliance, cost-efficiency, and operational performance are met or exceeded.
  • Lead multiple large-scale capital projects from scoping through to commissioning.
  • Assist with developing a 3-year rolling divisional capital plan and manage annual CapEx programs.
  • Provide technical direction to engineering and maintenance teams across several manufacturing sites.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable engineering solutions to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure legislative compliance across multi-state operations (VIC, SA, NSW, TAS).
  • Build strong relationships with site teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing capital projects in a food or FMCG manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CapEx planning, cost control, WHS legislation, and continuous improvement tools.
  • High-level problem-solving, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable with regular travel between sites (travel required, Melbourne home base).
