Senior Financial Claims Manager Job

This position involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of Financial Lines claims to deliver an exceptional claims experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of complex, sensitive, high-risk Financial Lines claims from start to finish.
  • Provide expert technical advice to claims staff on policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy and reserving.
  • Engage and oversee external service providers, including legal panels.
  • Maintain accurate claim reserves in a timely manner according to industry guidelines.
  • Offer underwriters and claims managers feedback on issues or risk deficiencies discovered during claims management, and expand technical knowledge.
  • Enhance the team's market profile through outstanding claims services targeted at specific segments.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years' experience in Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Claims.
  • Prior experience mentoring claims staff in technical roles.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as law, business, or insurance (e.g. Diploma in Financial Services General Insurance) are highly valued.
