**Senior Accountant Job Opportunity**

Job Description:

  • The role involves preparing accurate and timely financial reports, which are essential for our organization’s decision-making processes.
  • As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, management reports, and Business Activity Statements.
  • You will support business areas with monthly forecasting, assist with annual financial statements and external audits, and oversee the preparation of Business Activity Statements and annual FBT returns.
  • In addition, you will coordinate monthly and annual payroll tax returns, annual workers’ compensation returns, and annual group life insurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Membership of a professional accounting body, such as CA/CPA, is desirable.
  • At least two years of practical experience in financial accounting, including experience with Microsoft D365.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Well-developed computing skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated capacity to accept a high level of personal responsibility and willingness to undertake hands-on work.
  • Strong communication skills, with well-developed oral and written skills, particularly with respect to the preparation of reports and procedures.
