**Financial Reporting Manager - Renewables - CBD**
**Company Background**
One of Australia's leading renewables businesses, backed by one of the world's largest Infrastructure players, is significantly expanding their local footprint with multiple acquisitions of solar, wind and battery assets. To support their targeted and ambitious growth plans, the Senior Management team and Board have identified the urgent need for a technically sound Financial Reporting Manager to lead the consolidated and technical reporting for the business and its multiple entries.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be regarded as the business's technical and reporting head, in what is a highly complex and inquisitive business. More specifically the role will be responsible for the:
- Management of the month, half and full year reporting including consolidated entity results for presentation to the Board, statutory bodies and lenders facilities
- Responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports and statement disclosures
- Updating of the financial model (cashflow and P&L) and monthly actuals to drive rolling forecasts
- Analysis of actuals and underlying reasons for variations
- Assist with derivative and compliance reporting to lenders
- Coordinate the external/internal audit process with staff and auditors
- Prepare concise and technically sound accounting papers, associated policies and procedures and act as the key liaison on technical accounting matters
- Work closely with key stakeholders in relation to the research and adoption of new accounting standards including the documentation of accounting changes, process and/or system impacts and change implementations
- Review all material areas of material accounting judgement, providing recommendation on approach
- Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting policies and procedures that ensures robust financial governance of the business
- Conduct analyses of operating results and report on variances from prior comparative periods
- Review and oversee controls around balance sheet account
- Draft the required statutory reports due to ASIC
- Assisting in the development and implementation of additional robust financial
- controls and policies
- Implement in conjunction with the Finance Systems and Transformation Manager, a new consolidation tool
- Assist in other ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required
**Your Background**
- Significant reporting and technical backgrounds
- Worked within large, complex businesses (ideally within capital intense industries, such as Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure, Mining or Property)
- Recognised qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commercial coupled with CA / CPA (or equivalent)
