**Financial Accountant Opportunity**


About this role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented financial accountant to join our finance team on a fixed-term contract. This role offers an immediate impact, with a thorough handover and ongoing support to set you up for success.
This is a 9.5 month contract, with potential to extend. You will work in a hybrid environment, 4 days from home and 1 day in the office.
**Key Responsibilities:**



  • Lead and support month-end close including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Assist with year-end financial reporting and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Prepare and review quarterly BAS, annual FBT returns, and statutory tax obligations.
  • Support intercompany recharges and levy billing processes with strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports across P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow for multiple entities.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations across corporate and operating entities.
  • Provide back-up support for payroll reconciliation, journals, PAYG submissions, and payroll processing when required.
  • Manage credit card journals and reconciliations as needed.
  • Partner with the FP&A team on journal queries and provide accurate, timely financial data.

**Requirements:**



  • CPA or CA qualified.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Experience in a hands-on accounting role.
  • TechOne knowledge highly regarded, but not essential.
