Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • We require a minimum Certificate III or IV / Diploma in Disability or any other relevant qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the role is essential.
  • A First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, NDIS Screening Check, NDIS Orientation Certificate, Working with Children Check, Current Police Check, Driver's License and reliable Car with Insurance are mandatory.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Medication delivery, Peg feeding, Travel/transport, Community access, Companionship, Domestic tasks, Meal preparation, Oral and nasal suctioning experience.
  • Work independently and exercise initiative, providing a client-focused service in a timely, consistent, coordinated and flexible manner.
  • Familiarity with ongoing issues that living with a disability presents at various life stages.
  • Assist clients to develop their existing skills, abilities and confidence through companionship and daily routines.
