Education Support Role

This education support class position is at the Education Support Level 1-Range 2. The successful applicant will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, best practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.

  • Support students with diverse learning needs and talents, including those experiencing cognitive, physical, sensory and medical difficulties, and those requiring tailored assistance to achieve their educational potential.
  • Assist students with challenging behaviours in accordance with school policies, protocols and associated Behaviour Support Plans, under the guidance of relevant classroom teaching staff.
  • Provide proactive physical and emotional support for students as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of this position. They will be committed to professional growth and development for both self and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide individualised support to students who require additional help in achieving their educational goals.
  • To assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and curriculum programs.
